To say that Not Drowning, Waving's ex-members have been involved in some unique and eclectic side projects is an understatement. This section chronicles several of those efforts. In particular, it highlights the ongoing work with Telek as a solo artist. Many Not Drowning, Waving fans will remember PNG's Telek as one of the driving forces involved in the Tabaran record. In many ways, Telek's solo work in association with Bridie/Phillips embodies many of ideals, passions and vocabulary that made Not Drowning, Waving so artistically successful.

Epilogue
David Bridie writes:
I sent around a bunch of field recordings of traditional West Papuan songs to ten of Australia’s leading electronica remix and sound scape artists. The artists included Paul Mac, Nick Littlemore from Pnau, Biftek, High Pass Filter, Ben Frost, Snog, Tim Cole from Not Drowning, Waving, Darren Steffen (who programmed and co wrote the track “Act of Free Choice” with me last year) and Airi Ingram from PNG band Drum Drum. The brief was to create something special to go on a compilation CD to raise money for West Papua. West Papua: Songs of the Morning Star is the result.
