Live at Solar Culture, Tucson, Arizona

Postby saintrik on Fri Jun 05, 2009 11:18 am

At the conclusion of the 2009 USA Sing Sing tour, David Bridie and Tim Cole braved the scorching desert summer in Tucson, Arizona and played an intimate gig at the Solar Culture Gallery. Tim Cole provided a great mix and visuals, while David played some great tunes between the sounds of passing freight trains…

Good god this is fantastic - nice win Rik! David's right on form, and I'm suspecting Thomastown might have been a request ;) A well earned one too. Moments to savor.

Glad to see the tracks from the Solar Culture show were posted! I was one of the few to attend that show-- and it was fantastic. Quite a treat, as I never thought I'd get to see DB play in the USA (particularly not living in the urban centers of LA or NYC).

Alas, now that I've noticed they were posted, the site is down... hopefully they'll still be there when it comes back up.

Also-- good to meet you after the show, Rik! Thanks to all who made the Tucson show happen--

Cheers--
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Great to meet you too, and very cool of you to make the trek to the show... It was a pretty great night.

As you noticed, I've had a bit of a mishap with the DB site, and until I manage to fix it or rebuild it (the most likely course...) I'll post the direct links to the Solar Culture tracks...

Thanks Rik!

Wow, these sound GREAT-- even better than I expected/remembered.

It was hardly a trek to the show-- I lived only about 2 miles from Solar Culture then! :D (Moved out to Virginia the next week.)

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi Rik,

Are you able to post the link to the Sucumb out take version of Measured Best? iTunes has done something screwy with the file and I can't open it or get it to synch to my iPod.

Cheers,

Scott
